The sound
Bars first,
no filler.
Franky Steel is a hardcore East Coast rapper. He writes about the things that keep you up — money, family, the version of yourself you left behind — and says it in bars, not in lines he can't stand behind. A hard beat, a clear voice, and nothing on the record that doesn't earn its place.
Raised on Jay-Z, Biggie, Nas and Tupac, the records that made a rapper out of him, his sound stays in that lineage: hard drums, heavy low end, and a flow that lands every line. Live, it gets louder, looser, and better.
A verse is done when you can't pull a line out of it.
