Biography

Stillness,
then weight.

Jermel Wilson is an actor whose work is defined by restraint. Trained in the discipline of listening, he builds characters from the inside — the history a person carries into a room before they say anything at all.

His range runs from grounded, naturalistic drama to genre work that demands a physical presence, with a voice that translates naturally to narration and animation. On set he is known for preparation, generosity with scene partners, and a willingness to find the take nobody planned for.

He is also a working stunt performer — fights, falls, driving and utility work on film and television sets, alongside doubling and choreography support. The approach is the same one he brings to a scene: rehearse it until it is safe, then shoot it like it isn't.

He is also a stand-up comedian, with club sets and showcases across New York — including Caroline's on Broadway, Broadway Comedy Club and St Marks Comedy Club. Stage time taught him the thing a camera can't: how long a room will hold a silence before it breaks.

He works with Focus Mindz Entertainment on film, television, theatre and commercial projects.
